"Stratospheric synths and heavenly vocal make her one of the new, Norwegian talents you should really watch out for"
- NRK P3 (NO)
FROM POEMS ON COFFEE FILTERS TO OUTSTANDING SONGS
IDA STEIN grew up at the Norwegian south east coast, in a small town
called Sandefjord. Raised in a creative family, singing, writing, painting
and expressing her feelings in any way was always a natural part of living.
She started writing poems as a kid, and somehow the thought of writing songs
was scary, until she couldn't wait any longer, and she popped out one song
after the other.
Known for her explosive expressions on stage, she is never just entertaining; always feeling the deep emotions and tones to it's very bone, which is maybe
her strongest quality, next to her unique voice and atmospheric and driving, scandinavian vibed musical landscape.
"She's the new sound of the north" claims NRK P3, and GRUNGECAKE (US) thinks
she sounds as good as legendary Björk.
The journey has just began, and she is making her debute album these days.
"AS A CHILD SHE WROTE POEMS ABOUT FEELINGS AND NATURE.
SHE CREATED HER OWN WORLD OF WORDS AND TONES AND FOUND HERSELF LOST IN BOOKS AND DAY DREAMS."
